I Want To Be A T-Shirt Whore

As I was surfing around my regular sites tonight to catch up on some reading (damn, another exciting Friday night), I saw a post over at ShoeMoney where he received a free t-shirt from Technorati and it gave me an idea.

Free T-Shirt

T-Shirt Whore
You’re a liar if you try and tell me that you don’t love getting free stuff. Picture the last time you were at a conference or trade show and you pretended to listen to the sales pitch just to get the stupid pen or other free crap being handed out. You know you’ve done it. When you can score something as prime as a t-shirt, no matter how stupid it looks or if it will even fit, you’re flying high for days (okay maybe that is just me).

So where is all of this going? Well, I thought I would throw this idea out there and see if it goes anywhere. If you send me a free t-shirt (preferably something in 2XL) I will snap a picture of myself wearing it (reserve the right to hold it if it doesn’t fit) and then write up a review of a website/business/whatever of your choice as a token of my appreciation. If you’d like to contribute to my goal of becoming a true t-shirt whore, please contact me for details on where to send the goods.

Who is going to be the first to send me a t-shirt? As an added bonus, I will add an extra link on the sidebar to whoever sends me the first t-shirt!

Lol, I can try to wear an XL but it might not be pretty! You can put ANYTHING you want on it, I think that is part of the fun.

I’ll contact you with details.

Free stuff is always fun even if its crap that gets thrown out later.

I remember going to an AMD conference in Vancouver and getting all the free swag at the beginning, leaving during the ‘talks’ (we went on a little pub crawl), came back and talked to the vendors who gave us more free stuff.

Lol. It’s always fun too when you find a booth giving away good stuff to try and hit them multiple times to get the goods.

Preety, as of right now I am not pimping out whores as I am trying to be the t-shirt whore myself.

Although looking at your sites I might have better luck getting t-shirts if I were to promote with some of those pictures. ;)

Ummm, I don’t think anyone should be subjected to a picture of me in a wet t-shirt. Now if you want to supply a pic to me, I will gladly feature you here. ;)

Your avatar ends up here because I am using the MyAvatars plugin on my site. Why do you think that is scary?

I don’t know why everyone is laughing this is a great promotional tool if used effectively. Any company would be happy if their customers were wearing appropriate t-shirts that positively increases their brand recognition.

Whenever my clients ask me about trade show giveaways I recommend a collared golf-shirt with a little company logo. This has proved time and again to be one of the top promotional giveaways at hundreds of conventions and trade shows. Their much more useful then a pen, or a branded golf towel, that’s for sure!

I’ve got two in queue that I need to post about but would be happy to add to that list.
