Favorite For Charity Update
As you may remember, Stephen Fung was running a Technorati Favorite Contest where he agreed to donate $1 to charity for each person that added his site to their favorites (up to a total of $100).
Unfortunately, Stephen did not reach his goal of 100 new favorites but did receive a respectable 62 additional faves. Shortly after he started the contest, I decided to join in on the fun and match the charitable donation dollar for dollar.
By the end of this month, Stephen, Michael Kwan and I will be donating $62 each to World Vision and Shawn Knight will be adding $50.
Bonus Round
When I made my original post about matching Stephen dollar for dollar, I indicated that my matching contribution was not dependent on anyone adding my site to their favorites. In the process, I did pick up 3 new Technorati favorites though bringing my total to 10 favorites.
As a bonus round, I will contribute the full $100 if I can pick up an additional 10 favorites by Sunday, April 22nd.
Oh, who am I kidding? I’ll still contribute the full $100 whether I get those additional 10 favorites or not, I’m a sucker for donating to those in need. But I’d still appreciate those people that decide to favorite me at Technorati.
