I remember going to work with both parents - for a kid of 7 or 8, it's possibly the coolest thing on earth.

If only it stayed that way!

It's funny you mention that because that is one of the first things my son did when I brought him back to my office. :)

I remember going to my mum's work on summer holidays, I always loved that too! I always looked through the desk drawers...not quite sure what I thought I was gonna find! :-L

Lol, I can see that the day might not be quite as enjoyable depending on the circumstances.

As a kid I remember going to work with my Dad a few times and it was always fun, although his office was in a really old building and it used to scare my sister and me. The most fun was when they had tours of the plant that was at his location, that was always fun.

Since I have no children yet, here is was this day means to me:

-- My pants got wet after washing my hands in the bathroom as the kids seemed to have had some type of water fight in the bathroom

-- I couldn't make use of the break room as it was filled with families.

I think the day is a great idea though, I always use to try and get my dad to take me to work when I was little, but there wasn't a special day to do so.
