Speedlinking - 14 May 2007

As I mentioned in my monthly goals for this blog, I plan on posting one speedlinking post per week to highlight blogs of interest.

From week to week the source of the speedlinking posts will be a little bit different. Some weeks it will be posts from the top commentators on this site or from random blogs that have stopped by for a visit. Every now and then I will try to throw in some posts from blogs that you may not have heard of to try and expand the community.

For this first official round of speedlinking, I’m going to reward those that have been the most active with their comments as this site would not be much without their feedback and opinions.

1. Matthew got into the spirit of ProBlogger’s Top 5 Writing Project with his submission on his top 5 reasons for blogging. My own reasons are very similar although I don’t think time was ever one of my reasons, as that is probably my most limited resource yet I love blogging so much that I often sacrifice some sleeping time to be blogging.

2. Arpit from Technical Bliss joined the HD-DVD frenzy with a post on a few interesting places that the HD-DVD processing key has been appearing. I think the poem is the most original and entertaining but you have to love how quickly the Interweb community can jump on something like this story.

3. Leo Chiang took some time out of his *grueling* schedule to take us on the set of “Nezumi (Rat)”. Shuzo shares a few photos of his handiwork with us although I am not quite sure how he could kill those beautiful women. Hopefully we will all get to see this sometime in the future Leo!

4. Ms. Danielle celebrates her 2-month blog anniversary and shares the great progress she has made so far. As you might remember, Danielle and I share a blogging birthday but I have to give her props as she is kicking my tail in the regular traffic/ranking metrics. Good job Danielle and here is to much success each and every month moving forward!

5. Vince Cordic takes us back to another ProBlogger Top 5 submission with his post on the top 5 ways to make money in your underwear. This is a humorous post and I’ve done four of the five things myself. Just watch out for those two pictures of Vince! (He claims those pictures aren’t him, lol.)

There you have the first official week of speedlinking. Thanks to the top 5 commentators and to everyone else for their participation and feedback. There have been a few new faces around this week so welcome to all of you as well.

Thanks for the link Derek! I appreciate it.

I enjoyed reading all of the posts you mentioned here.

My blog is just about 2 months old now too (1.5 months) and Ms. Danielle is kicking my ass by a long shot too :)

Nezumi is currently being edited and they are working on an original soundtrack. Once it is done and shown at the premiere I’ll get a copy of the DVD. But I may not be able to show it until it has completed the film festival circuit.

That is very cool! One of these days I will finally get around to seeing some of your work. I’m not a big BG fan (sorry) and I haven’t seen “Night at the Museum” yet.

Of course you’re not, cause then you’d know it’s BSG! Pfft, geek! ;)

Lol, I even looked on your site to see if it was “Battlestar” or “Battle Star” and I figured BG was the way to go. Oh well, I said I wasn’t a fan. ;)
