Thanks Damien! As a family, we all really enjoy reading although our youngest is just starting to really learn to read himself. Our oldest absolutely loves to read and my wife and I cherish our bedtime routine of reading stories to the kids.

It's good also for those huge books like "Writer's Market" that cost 50-100 bucks. You can't take them home usually from reference but they have a copy machine and you usually only need a few pages anyway.

That's me, always looking for the bargain!

Good job Derek takin' the fam to the library and fostering literacy that way!

Lol, I know what you mean about the library. We try to visit regularly to keep the kids actively reading and exploring new topics.

Buying books just got to be too expensive for me so now I try to grab them from the library and if I really love the book, I'll buy a copy.

That is great that you get that time for yourself each day after work. Don't let that go!

Library what is that? Lol

I have not been to a library in a REALLY long time to check out books. I tend to buy all my books.

As for taking time for myself. I tend to every day after work be it playing WoW or going for a rollerblade. Something that it is just me, alone and relaxing. On sunny days I'll go for a walk/hike though with winter coming the days will be getting shorter and I wont be able to do the walk/hikes.

Trim back your movie budget

For the second of three ways to trim back your entertainment budget without trimming back your entertainment, I am focusing on ways to spend less money when you go out to a movie.
