@Nick :: Thanks for the feedback. I’ve enjoyed the series as it does give a time to share some of my favorite reads and hopefully lead readers to new discoveries.

@Jason :: You’re right. I think part of what make the testimonials feel fake is that they are always positive, as obviously the site/product owner isn’t going to use a bunch of negative testimonials.

Regarding the car insurance keywords, they do pay very well. I started a blog that is strictly about Auto Insurance. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble getting any traffic.

I agree that most testimonials are probably fake. When was the last time you or somebody you knew wrote in a big thank you letter to someone with such eloquent sentences? Typically when someone’s product or service is out of this world, we resort to word of mouth and blogging … and even then we take it with a grain of salt

While I haven’t done a speedlinking type post myself, I have definitely considered it. I rather enjoy them as it helps keep me aware of what is going on in the blogosphere and also is an opportunity for me to find other blogs I may enjoy reading.
