I tried DIY, just didn’t work well for me. What’s best is when I buy something that gives good mileage. Something I can reuse years down the line or sell the costume 2nd hand on eBay.

I tend to agree that the Halloween Costumes should be home made, unless you are strapped for time - then you should buy one.

hi, i guess costumes made at home would be much better. In the market u would find all those costumes which people usually wear. But in order to look different , u need to wear something different & interesting which is possible if u use your own ideas . Thus i guess making costumes at home is an amazing idea.

Whether it is halloween or just any fancy dress, the more creative you can be the better it is. If it is home created, it is going to be one of a kind, whereas if it is store bought someone else is bound to be traipsing around in it.

@MPB :: The skeleton costume is the one that we bought. It would be great if we were talented enough to make something like that at home.

@HRS :: Very true. Our kids usually start talking about what they want to be for Halloween a good month or two before we are even ready to think about it.
