I also had this option but it would beep every 11 seconds to let people know it was recording.

I had the option to record a conversation on one of my phones a long time ago and since then it seems the option has been phased out. I think they should make it standard on phones. very useful tool.

Grandcentral is now gone but I tried it once and liked it very much. And I never fared too well with the record from speaker method either. It was like listening to a radio broadcast on a battlefield, lol.

I am in need of some technical advice. I have someone who claims to have a recording of me on their cell phone. Its just a plain flip phone. It might not even have a camera, thats how basic it is. I believe its pre-paid. He said he has it saved to his memory card that goes behind the battery. Im sure you could possibly record a convo on that phone, but my question is: can you save it to the memory card? This guy is far from being a tech wizard so im questioning the fact that he even has the brains to record. Just in case he has proven me wrong, I need to know how likely it is for him to save that and actually share it with someone else like maybe through e-mail or facebook. I know it would be very easy with a smart phone, but just a plain flip phone? Need some advice please!!!

you can buy a phone from walmart for $12 that will record conversations. its an ATT Go Molile phone, the cheapest they have. it works great except that you have to push about 6 buttons to activate the recorder, which causes 6 beeps that are heard by the other party.
