Q&A Round 4 :: The Questions
Believe it or not, we have already reached the 2nd Friday of August and that means it is time for another Q&A Session. The feedback from the first three rounds has been fantastic and I have truly enjoyed sharing more with all of you.
You can ask anything that you like and I will answer to the best of my abilities, or tell you if I don’t know the answer.
Please take a look at the previous sessions to see what the community has wanted to know and try to refrain from asking a question that has been previously answered.

Do you have a specific plan for how you market your blog to increase subscribers and page views? I know everyone says content is kind, and I agree, but what do you specifically do beyond write great posts that has worked well?
As an author of multiple blogs, how do you decide which post goes up on which blog? If there’s a post that looks like it might work for either blogs, what do you do? If you seperate them by topics, do you feel like a part of you is missing from one blog and vice versa?
Also, is there a difference between checking “Subscribe to comments via email” and “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail”?
I didn’t know you had multiple blogs…whats are the other ones?
Will you still be blogging 10 years from now? Ever thought about what you’ll be doing in 10 years?

I see that your page rank went back up after this last update. Did you stop posting about the methods you use to monetize your blog? Or did some other factor contribute to the raised pr?

well jay, I wasn’t looking to buy it, I just wanted to know what he felt the worth was, but like the other poster said..it was already addressed. I personally feel it would be invaluable due to all the great content and commenter participation Derek encourages. Maybe the next John Chow?

Do you worry about having to look after ageing parents, or do you have other family members to share the load?
(Don’t answer if too personal, it’s just that my wife and I are both the only children around to look after our mums right now and I am intrigued how many others are in a similar boat)
