Growing up as a kid living in the Chicagoland area, I had the pleasure of watching Walter “Sweetness” Payton run up and down the field every Sunday afternoon during football season.
While watching the Chicago Bears game last night, Matt Forte did something that Sweetness could not do, dominate in his Bears debut – although he has a long road before he can ever truly be mentioned in the same sentence as Walter Payton.
In honor of Sweetness, and given that today is my 34th 33rd birthday (in a sign of my age, I thought that I was turning 34 hence the tie in to Sweetness’ number 34, oh well), I thought that I would use this edition of Speedlinking to send a little link love to 34 blogs that I read on a regular basis.

It’s amazing how many different blogs a person can keep up with. I thought 34 sounded like alot, but then I counted my feedreader and discovered that my number is very similar, I just hadn’t thought to count them.
