By the time this coming weekend has concluded, I will have traveled from one end of the country to the other – or just about. Just a few days ago I had left home for a business trip to Miami and now I am preparing to depart for the BlogWorld Expo in Las Vegas!
This will be my first trip to BlogWorld and I am ready for an amazing experience. Based on the reviews that I read of the event last year, it should be a non-stop knowledge exchange and party with some of the brightest stars in the blogging world.
Not only will I finally have a chance to meet a few long-time blogging friends such as MsDanielle and Gary Lee, but I will also be meeting up with almost the entire Sparkplugging crew.
That is a really cool story, as Wendy Piersall managed to arrange for EPSON to sponsor our Sparkplugging team to attend BlogWorld. While we are at the show, we will all be grabbing some great video coverage too so be sure to stop and say hello when you see me coming with the camera! Thanks Wendy and thanks EPSON!
In addition, I need to find some time to meet up with the two bloggers that won a pass to BlogWorld right here on this blog. The two bloggers are Kim Dushinski, who has pledged to buy me a beer, and Ryan Knuppel from KnupNET.
If you will be at BWE, leave a comment here so I can be sure to touch base with you while we are out in Vegas. For those that are not able to attend, I know that the Sparkplugging team will be providing some fantastic coverage so stay tuned to that as well.
See you in Vegas!

Have fun, and hope you learn a lot of cool stuff. Which hotel will you be staying at in Vegas?
Thanks…I’ll be staying at the Sahara. Never stayed there before, but it was cheap and this room is on my dime so it works for me.
I envy you. As usual, I just can not make it, as much as I would like to. Have a great time. Look forward to your posts after you return.

Blogworld sounds awesome! Next year Ive got to spend some of my cash to get there.
I think there are several of us who feel the same way, although I think I’m going to shoot for 2010 instead of 2009…give me a little more time to save up and also I will hopefully be done with school by then and have one less thing to try and schedule around.

That’s cool that your blogging on sparkplugging is helping you get there, but you mentioned in response to a previous comment that the hotel room is on your dime….what exactly is Epson paying for then?

Well, the hotel was on my dime because I opted to have a private room rather than share. But the airfare costs were covered, as well as the hotel costs for the group that was willing to share. In addition, the cost of the BWE ticket was covered, although I had previously bought mine and will be asking to have that reimbursed.
Well, that makes sense…it’s pretty cool that you were able to basically get a sponsorship to go. What’s in it for them?
