Its a good idea. Corporate blogging business is booming, and there are literally thousands of small business owners who’d like a blog, but have no idea how to go about it and don’t have the time to keep it updated.

I think maybe in addition to consultancy for setting up the blog, you should add writing blog posts to your list of services, since you’re pretty good at that too.

I agree that the "red staple media" name is pretty sweet, wish I was creative enough to come up with something like that!

Nicks last blog post..<a href="http://www.romandock.com/never-published-posts/" rel="nofollow">Never-Published Posts</a>

Nice post about the need for brand recognition! Indeed the process of establishing an online identity isn't the easiest, and I hope TW works well for you.

I think it sounds like a good idea to do something with your existing site, and if all goes well it may be the exit you've been looking for in regards to your current "regular" job. However, as others have pointed out, that is a very competetive market and there are already a lot of people trying to do what you are talking about here...

I think this is a great idea, there is definitely a market for blog consulting, just have to see if you have enough resources to put into the business also take into account that blog consulting advice takes a considerable amount of time. It takes a lot of action and if Threaded Web was hard to keep active then it might be tougher to start a consulting business where you need to give huge amounts of attention to your website and most importantly for your clients. Have to be truly committed. Best of Luck to you.

There is a note directly above the comment form that indicates "keyword" only names will have the link removed. If you'd like to have your link remain, I'd like you to personalize your comment with the following structure: "YourName@YourKeyword"

Thanks!

I think you would do a great job branding ThreadedWeb. On a side note, I've always thought the name "Red Staple Media" was cool. Can't wait to see how this works out!
