While tax season is still officially in high-gear, I’ve yet to put on my *bean counter* hat to begin working on my taxes and it is not looking like they will be done any day soon.
As I sat here this afternoon, I thought about getting started with the process by at least going online to buy my preferred tax software.
However, as you are probably well aware given the title of the post, I have found other things to occupy my time this afternoon that sounded so much more appealing than getting started on my taxes. Here are a few things that I did today:
- Submitted a post about my participation in the Carnival of Credit Cards. Blog carnivals are a great way to build up traffic to your site and I highly recommend participating in them.
- Spent some time looking at and dreaming about owning a custom motorcycle. Some of my favorite bikes are from the places like exile cycles, Matt Hotch Designs (I’ve met Matt and my kids have autographed posters of Matt, very cool guy) and Billy Lane of Choppers Inc.
- Made the rounds to see what was going on at a few of my regular reads. Found a few new posts and had to jump in with a few comments here and there.
- Logged into T-Mobile to check my minute usage to avoid another overage charge. Everything looks good so far but I need to check this regularly.
- Messed around in Photoshop for a little bit to try and clean up some pictures and then browsed morguefile.com looking for interesting pictures.
- Made the rounds again to check on my regular reads – can you tell I really didn’t want to work on my taxes?
There you have a few easy steps on how to procrastinate filing your taxes. Have you been procrastinating yourself? If so, please share some of your preferred methods as I am sure I will be looking for more ways in the near future.

I’m just putting if off as I haven’t printed out any expenses yet. Takes forever and a day to complete.
Thanks for reminding me! I still haven’t done anything for my taxes… I’m such a procrastinator! =(
Lol, I’ve taken the first step in ordering the software as I noted in my pingback from my other blog above. But now I have to wait for it to arrive so I have an excuse to procrastinate!
