Having A Hootie In Orlando

Hootie And The Blowfish

Since I will be attempting to utilize future posts while I am traveling, I should be on my way to see Hootie and the Blowfish by the time you are reading this post.
This morning I arrived in Orlando and made my way to the house that I have rented with a few other guys that are attending the conference with me.
As part of the kickoff festivities for the conference, we will be attending the opening night activities which include a little get together and a performance by Hootie and the Blowfish.
While they aren’t exactly a hot item these days, I have enjoyed a few of their songs in the past so it should be a decent show to see tonight. Afterwards I am sure we will be exploring a little bit that Orlando has to offer, although I am not sure how exciting things will be on a Sunday night.
Hopefully the conference will prove to be valuable and we will all have a good time in the process. If you happen to be in the Orlando area, drop me a note and maybe we can meet up for a drink or something.

My thoughts exactly, lol. You’d think they would gave broken up and pursued other jobs by now.
Remember, stay in school kids!

I thought they were long gone because I/we have heard nothing new from them for the last decade. This sounds like an interesting show. Enjoy!

Lol, I thought the same thing and in the end we didn’t actually see Hootie. The conference had the concert and registration “event” from 4pm to 8pm.
Hootie didn’t take the stage until 7pm and we had opted to leave before then. We received our free registration gift, enjoyed a few free beers and then left for dinner and headed back to our house for a few more drinks.
From the people I talked to that had stayed for the show, it was okay but nothing spectacular. They didn’t play all that long, but then again they didn’t have that many hits so I guess that makes sense! 🙂

Sad to say it but…there was nothing better than listening to Cracked Rear View in the high school parking lot. LOL.

What can I say…I’m a sucker for bad 80s/90s music. Can you say Warrant/Trixter/Firehouse!?
