Speedlinking – 18 Jun 2007

Today’s edition of Speedlinking is going to spread a little link love back to those people that are currently displayed in my WordPress Dashboard as Incoming Links.
1. Ed Lau made an appearance on the Dashboard with his latest edition of Speed Link Sunday. Earlier in the week, Ed picked up his new bike and then ended the week resting his injured knee while checking out the series opener of Entourage.
2. BlueFur.com honored me by including my post about bathroom doors in their In The Sphere feature. For those not familiar with BlueFur, they are a great hosting company servicing much of Canada and reaching out to the rest of the world as well. I’m not in Canada but I took advantage of the John Chow discount and have been very happy thus far with the hosting as well as features such as the Marketing 101 Tips and Weekly Discussion. If you’re looking for a host, try them out and tell them that I sent you (although that won’t get you the discount like it will if you tell them John Chow Rocks).
3. Danielle has made an appearance on my Dashboard and I have to give her props for the success she has had in the first three months with her blog. She went on to thank her loyal readers (count me in that group) and provide some pointers for new readers. Even without the appearance on the Dashboard, anyone that includes a picture of Lars Ulrich in a blog post deserves some link love!
4. Derrich deserves a spot here just because of his name (even if he does spell it wrong). 😉 Derrich had an interesting start to the week as he added another notch in his belt when he made it into the newspaper. The week continued to get better as the San Antonio Spurs came through on his Win for Fin mantra but it’s too bad the NBA Finals weren’t a little more exciting.
5. Damien Riley has popped up on the Dashboard a few times as he has tagged me a couple of times. Damien, I’m still trying to catch up and will participate with 8 Things I Know so I appreciate your patience. After celebrating his 38th birthday (Happy B-Day!), Damien shared some of his knowledge and life experiences with 3 decades and 8 years as well as a look at the face behind the blog (this was another tag from Damien that I have failed to follow through with yet). Damien had some great posts in the last few weeks but one that I particularly liked was 5 things a kid appreciates in a Dad. Many of these qualities are things that I appreciate about my Dad and hope my kids will one day appreciate about me.
There are some great blogs featured in this edition of Speedlinking and I highly recommend you add each of them to your list of regular reads. I’ve been fortunate enough to have these people participate here on this site and also share a little link love with me, which I think is quite an honor.
As a reminder, be sure to stay active in the comments and try to keep your mug in the MyBlogLog widget for possible inclusion in future editions of Speedlinking. If you would like to be included, feel free to drop me a line as well as I can be bribed with t-shirts! 😈

No problem Gary! Thanks for the great hosting! As much as I have been happy with my previous host, you have made me just as happy and with better prices.

Thanks x2. Yes…last week was great! Newspaper appearance, and a Spurs victory as icing on the cake.

I like your giving back spirit. Too many times, free backlinks go unnoticed. Way to go and keep up the good work.
