This edition of Speedlinking is going to take a new turn and hopefully expose you to a few new blogs in the process. Today I am going to share a few of the blogs I read regularly when I am thinking about My New Choice – which is my personal finance blog.
1. Flexo over at Consumerism Commentary is one of my favorite reads and that is not just because I won a free book with my comment on his post about the advice you would give your younger self. When you stop by to congratulate Flexo for passing his first significant milestone, be sure to do yourself a favor and check out a few ideas if you are not expecting a big pay increase.
2. After completing my own version of the 8 fun facts, you might be interested in reading the 8 random things about the man behind FiveCentNickel.com. With more people taking advantage of bonuses and offers from credit cards, take a look at what Nickel has to say about your credit score and chasing credit card bonuses.
3. FreeMoneyFinance can be hard to keep up with at times but it is worth your time to check out the series that includes six steps to get a raise. Another post that caught my eye given I own stock in this company was the joys and frustrations of TD Ameritrade. Luckily for me, owning AMTD has only held joys.
4. Over at My Money Blog you will find one of my favorite type of posts – the net worth update. I’ve been running a series of net worth updates myself. Another quality post at My Money Blog this week is the discussion on why you shouldn’t pay for identity theft insurance that includes a handful of free methods to protect yourself.
5. No Credit Needed is another personal finance blog where you can stay up to date on a personal savings goal and learn a little bit more with another edition of 8 random things. I’m not sure I can continue reading this blog after learning NCN hates cheese! 😆
That concludes this week’s edition of Speedlinking. With this edition I wanted to try and bring together this blog with some aspects of my personal finance blog and hopefully you found some interesting information in the process.
Next week I think I am going to feature reader submissions so take a moment to contact me with any posts that you feel should be included. I’ll read through the submissions and feature my favorite selections next week.

Hey these are soe good posts you speedlinked to. I think I may submit one of my articles to you. When do they have to be submitted by?
I’ll make a more formal announcement about the submissions but I would like them by Saturday night.
Thanks for the link… but I still hate cheese! 🙂
Also, I dislike Ranch Dressing, Mayonnaise, and Honey Mustard… yuck!
NCN
You’re welcome. I’m with you on the honey mustard but have to disagree on ranch and mayo. When I make a sammich, I always use mayo as opposed to butter.
Any advice for a newbie?
J, what sort of advice are you looking for?
BTW, I removed your link in the comment because it wasn’t relevant to the comment. The links on your name are fine and inline links are cool as long as they pertain to the discussion. If you’re looking for extra links, feel free to contact me to take advantage of my offer for the next round of speedlinking.
I did check out your site and liked your post on exercising efficiently, I’ve still been slacking on the workouts and your tips may help me out.

Danielle, let me know if there are any specific topics in the finance dept. and I can post here or over at my finance blog.
I’m still using blogcatalog but after they lost a bunch of data (last week I think it was) I haven’t really been doing anything with it.
I need good reading tips in the area of finance like you would not believe, so many many heartfelt thansk from this fellow blogger 🙂
You’re welcome! 🙂
If you ever have a specific financial topic that you would like to see covered or have questions about, please feel free to ask.
