Little Miss Sunshine

After a long day at the office, I got home tonight and walked over to a neighbor’s house to pick up my kids. My wife had a meeting at work tonight and they agreed to watch the kids until I got home.
When I arrived at their house, they were playing Nintendo Wii and were just about to have a little dinner. While the kids ate, my neighbor and I decided to go a few rounds in Wii Boxing. This is the first time that I have ever played the Wii and I have to admit that it was pretty cool – even though I did get knocked out right at the end of the 3rd round.
My kids wanted their turn to play against me so I boxed my youngest son and played baseball against my oldest. My oldest beat me in the baseball but I knocked out my youngest in the 2nd round – remember, I show them no mercy! 😈
Once we got back home, I had a few phone calls to make and needed to pay a few bills after getting the kids to bed. As I was wrapping that up, I had plans of sitting down to start writing a few posts for my blogs when my wife got home from her meeting and we talked about her work for a bit.
Now I am sitting here and don’t have the motivation to make it through the posts that I had planned so instead I am throwing this quick note out there and then I am heading off to watch Little Miss Sunshine and enjoy a few cold beers!

Sounds like you had a great evening. I don’t know why but any activity with my kids no matter how trivial always seem special to me. I think I’ll go get a beer and join you.

That’s what I was going to say – glad to see that you are still letting the kids know who’s boss! 😛

@Brown Baron :: It was a great evening. Playing Wii against my kids was a lot of fun and then we topped it off with a few rounds of wrestling when we got home. They love to be a tag team and try to take me down.
@Leo :: That’s a recipe for a good night!
@Gary :: Exactly, I rarely want to “let” them win although I do it every now and then. When we play basketball, I’m a little more forgiving but otherwise they have to earn their victories.
@Natron :: Lol, I only had 2 beers. I had 2 Guinness left in the fridge and finished those off.

Fantastic movie. I’m not sure younger kids would understand the real intricacies of the story but I thought it was one of the best movies of last year.

I thought it was a great movie. The wife and kids were asleep so I watched it solo. I’m glad that I finally saw it as this is a keeper.

This and Thank You For Smoking are probably two of my favorite movies in the last year.

I am a huge “Office” fan so when I saw Steve Carell was in it I immediately got this one when it hit “On Demand”. I have to agree, it was a pretty good flick.

Little Miss Sunshine is movie.. and a cute one at that. Steve Correll once again is awesome. Not a thriller but definitely a feel good movie.
