The first Speedlinking post of each month is dedicated to highlighting the people that were the most active commentators from the previous month. August was a busy month with a close battle for the top spot and best of all, we have a new Top Commentator for the month.
The final numbers had to be looked up and verified as I forgot to grab a screenshot at the end of the month. Although the top commentator, Rose DesRochers, took a look at the Google snapshot of my site to provide the numbers and I confirmed that by running a query against the database.

1. Rose DesRochers provided a nice dose of entertainment with her post about sex toys for dogs. As disturbing or gross as this might be, I can actually see this being a successful product.
2. Derrich took a moment to explain how writing good reviews can score you some free schwag. Derrich, you can stop by any time to detail my car!
3. Damien Riley shared quite a few great experiences but one that I particularly enjoyed was his discussion on when things are so good its scary. Damien, if you were closer I’d sign you up to teach my son guitar as we can’t find anyone that wants to teach a 6-year-old.
4. Saman Sadeghi has provided many tips and hacks for Windows users and one that can help save you a few mouse clicks is the post on how to launch control panel apps from the command line. How long can you go without using your mouse?
5. Leo Chiang has been so busy working lately that there haven’t been many posts but I did enjoy the UFC 74 recap, particularly Leo’s line about Gonzaga’s nose! Leo, don’t break that laptop because we’d love to see more frequent updates from the star.
Thanks to everyone for being active in the comments last month. For the month there were 406 total comments and I’ve seen a handful of new people that have joined the community.
As I’ve said before, I cannot do it without all of you and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and help this community continue to grow.
Hope you enjoy the posts of these top commentators and be sure to stop by and explore their sites. Next month maybe you will be featured as one of the top commentators!

I see this month Rose and I are battling for the top spot. You never know what I will blog about. I can assure you my blog is never dull. lol
Where we would we be without comments?
I have something special at the end of September for my top commenter’s.
Congrats on the top spot for August! It looks like September is off to a fast start and it should be an exciting month.
Thanks for the link love buddy!
Just to remind you (because you mentioned it on my blog), did you Stumble the posts to?!
Lol, they have been stumbled now! Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
No worries, your welcome!
Oh, shucks, I didn’t comment enough…I’ll have to change that for this next month.
Hey, thanks for the link love! I hope to get back on track here and make regular posts.
Congratulations to Rose as the top 1 commentator here. I’m first time user here. Probably I can be the list of top commentator here?
Thanks for the link love, Derek. I shall have my revenge against Rose for defeating me at the last minute. 😛
Sounds like an interesting rivalry is brewing here – what have I missed?!
Thanks Derek. I appreciate how your “Speedlinking” ecolumn has been so consistent. I’ve been very fortunate to be featured a few times on it.
Hey, I’d have fun teaching a 6 year old to play guitar, especially one who wants to learn.
Keep up the good work.
Derrich, nothing worse than a sore loser. 🙂 lol
DOH! *tucks tail between legs*
@Nick :: September looks like it might be a busy month but hopefully I’ll see you up there!
@Leo :: You’re welcome. I’m hoping you get the time for a few posts as well because it gives us a chance to see how you prima donna actors think your day is so rough! 😉
@Louiss :: Welcome to the site. The beauty of the top commentator spot is that you have the power in your hands to be there.
@Derrich :: No problem. Now go get that top spot and bring some pride to our name! 🙂
@Damien :: You’re welcome. It has been pretty consistent and I’ve been worried that people might think they are too frequent but I love sharing posts that I have enjoyed. Our son really wants to learn the guitar and has been doing well with the things his grandpa has taught him thus far.
@Rose :: Lol, he is a big cry baby sometimes. 😉
I’m workin’ on it, man! And I heard that…what you told Rose. 😛
I see that.
🙁
Poor Derrich.
