Just like last month, I forgot to grab a snapshot of the Top Commentators before the numbers reset with the start of the new month. However, I have my trusty SQL statement to run against the database to give me the final numbers. If anyone needs this query just leave a comment and I will send it to you.
For those that are new here, every Monday I feature sites and posts that caught my attention from the previous week. The first Monday of every month is dedicated to highlighting the people that were the most active commentators from the previous month. It is my way of showing a little appreciation to those that actively share their thoughts.

1. Rose DesRochers addressed my suggestion to switch to a full-feed RSS with her post on partial vs. full RSS feeds. While I don’t agree with Rose on this one, I can certainly respect her decision.
2. Derrich allowed me to take over the comments on his post about the Power Rangers and the NFL. As excited as I was to see Brian Griese take over for Rex Grossman, I am now anxiously waiting for Kyle Orton.
3. Just when Leo Chiang has started to post a little more frequently again, he went out and bought Halo 3 Legendary Edition so now we probably won’t see him too much. He also mentioned that he is a new relationship so we probably won’t be seeing any new hot model shoots any time soon (congrats anyways Leo).
4. Saman Sadeghi must have pissed off Chuck Norris with his post about Chuck Norris facts as he only posted once last week. Hopefully Saman will come out of hiding some time soon!
5. Damien Riley shared a bit of exciting news when he announced that he has lined up a new gig at The Ponderosa in a couple of weeks. Damien, I wish I was closer as I would certainly check this out but will have to make do with the online versions.
I’d like to thank everyone for being active with the comments last month and would like to encourage everyone to shoot for that top spot. September saw the same Top 5 just in a different order. Will someone new make a challenge for one of the top spots?
As a reminder, I not only give a little link love to the top commentators each month but I also Stumble the posts that I link to in my Speedlinking post.
Don’t be afraid to speak up!

Thanks for the love!
I’m still nursing my wounds 😥 Actually, I just started taking Online Classes and they are kicking my but – I’m just wrapping up my first research paper and I hope to be back at full operational levels soon!
Thanks for the link love! I enjoy this each month. Now let me see if I can be top commenter next month.
That’s 2 months now, Rose. You’ll have to make that extra effort to beat me again. 😉
I should have paid more attention to that and perhaps I could have made the top 5, guess I didn’t think of it and just commented when I had something to say 😛
@Saman :: Lol, what kind of classes are you taking?
@Rose :: You’re welcome, you’ve grabbed the top spot a couple of months in a row now.
@Nick :: You were right there challenging for the Top 5 and I believe you missed it by just one or two comments. But I always appreciate your thoughtful comments!
I’m working toward the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology/Information System Security degree!
So far, I’ve competed one GenEd class, but I am really looking forward to my core classes!
Congrats to you on working towards the degree. I always get a kick out of telling people I have a BS in Computer Science, lol.
I’ve kicked around the idea of going for an MBA but I never really enjoyed school and am not motivated enough to go back now.
Thanks for mentioning my October show at the Ponderosa. If any of your readers are in Southern California they are warmly invited!
Thanks for the LL, Derekch! If da Bears decide to play Kyle Orton, they better get that boy a haircut first.
@Damien :: You’re welcome and I hope it is a packed house when you play!
@Derrichek :: Lol, I don’t care what his hair looks like as long as he brings home a W! He could even wear crocs for all I care.
No! Not Crocs!!!
Derek, what a smart way to encourage people to be a part of the community on your blog. And it’s a nice thing to do too. Kudos to the top 5 comm enters 🙂

Annie, thanks for the comment! It is the least I can do for the people that take the time to be part of this site and share their opinions.
You might as well save a spot for me every month 😉
You got it – you know you’ve always got a spot here.
hey that’s cool, i’ve always been wondering if there’s a way to get top commentators for a given time period. could you send that to me? 🙂 thanks!
