While I would certainly hope that Caesar’s Palace holds themselves to a higher standard, I wish I would have seen this before my recent trip to Vegas.
Don’t Ever Drink From Hotel Glasses
And yes, I did drink from one of the glasses in my room so maybe I would have been better off never seeing this video because now I have to wonder about the glass that I used.
Although that probably wasn’t as bad as the stain on one of the chairs. Nasty!

OK… That’s just gross… No wonder I get sick after every time I stay in a Hotel.
Hi Derek – this is absolutely gross! Now I’m thinking of all the places I’ve stayed, where I used the cups and glasses!
Along the same lines: That’s Fit on restaurant ice cubes.
Thanks for the warning!!
This is outrageous. I hope that something concrete has come out of this sting operation. I would be very wary of using hotel room glasses in future. Thank you for this blog.
WOW, I’m glad I never use Hotel glasses 🙂 It’s actually not that surprising. I’ve seen similar videos on other aspects of how sick many hotels are and the price of the room doesn’t really make a difference from what I’ve seen/heard.
Ugh. It’s like looking into the kitchen of a restaurant. You’ll never want to eat the food again.
Oh god, thank you for this information haha 😀
I wonder if this reflects hotel policy or individual laziness of single employees. At any rate, the prices you pay for hotel stays, you are certainly entitled to basic hygiene which is obviously largely absent here.
That’s why I always wash my glasses myself, with hand soap if I must.
This is just awful. How can do such things, and the names that are shown in the video are some of the good and reputed hotels and not some medium type hotels. Huh….
Thanks for getting it to our notice.
That is really disgusting, but I’ve not gotten sick from drinking out of hotel cups yet so I guess the glass cleaner spray works. I always rinse my cups with water before I drink out of them, too. It’s probably not that bad.
I am never using a glass at a hotel again
this is just sick
I am surprised the someone hasn’t died from this yet
That’s nasty. Next time I check-in I will check the glasses first.
Really gross, indeed – but: if we start thinking like that, we can’t really drink or eat something or from something except within our own walls… Sad, but true…
I worked for a short while with the hotel business and another practice that is very common is not changing sheets between guests.
Another issue with hotel rooms is that it is very common for the floors to be infected with mold that can cause athletes feet.
I’m sitting in a hotel room right now as I right this. This has got me freakin! I’ll only be using the one time use plastic cups for now on.
I always wondered if they really change the sheets every day, or am I sleeping where Joe and Jill Doe did the hibiddy dibiddy last night. Nasty…
That’s pretty scary, I’m headed to Vegas this January so I’ll keep this in mind.
Matt
man thats scary!
thanks for posting this.

I saw this video being aired on a local news in an Asian country. All I can say is, that is so gross…after seeing this video in the news, I am now careful with hotel glasses every time I check in.
Thats pretty gross. As a frequent visitor to las vegas I will bring my own cups from now on
I’ve always been wary of using hotel glasses or cutlery. Having worked at a 3-star hotel, I was quite shocked at the lack of safe practices occasionally seen by non-caring staff.
