Broken Thumb And The Cycle Kick

After posting the video clip where a brother owns his signing sister with a pillow, I could not help but think back to a few encounters with my sister.
Broken Thumb
When my sister and I were kids, my mom was the secretary at the church that we attended. One Saturday afternoon, my mom had work to do at the church and had taken the two of us along with her.
After spending time goofing around and playing in the empty classrooms, something had caused an argument between the two of us and my sister tried to punch me. As she punched towards me, I threw my hands up to try and deflect her attack and somehow bent her thumb back.
She immediately began screaming and crying and my mom rushed into the room to see what was wrong. Naturally my sister blamed it all on me and I got into trouble for hurting her even though it all happened as she punched me. To this day my sister and I still joke about this story and she still blames me for breaking her thumb.
Cycle Kick
When my sister and I would get into our little fights, she had a very unique style of defending herself.
For some reason or another, we would be arguing about something and I would begin to chase her around the house. She would immediately run towards one of the bedrooms and launch herself onto the bed.
Once on the bed, she would lie on her back and kick with her legs like she was riding a bicycle. If I moved around the bed, she would turn on the bed while never missing a beat with the cycle kick.
It was the funniest thing to see but looking back at it now it was a pretty effective means of defense as I never really bothered to pursue the fight any further.
Do you remember any fights with your sibling?

I have a younger brother. So being the older one, I was always made to give up, take a step down to end fights, given the blame etc etc. Any older sibling would understand. Yet I have the fondest of memories of my childhood.

I am the eldest of four the youngest being the sole girl. She is also nine years younger than I am and four years younger than the youngest brother.
Our scrapes therefore were restricted to the three boys getting into all kinds of trouble. One notable story which is a family favorite is when my youngest brother fell down riding a bicycle and fractured his forearm. He was in plaster cast and started to ride again. A neighbor asked him how it happened that he broke his bone. This boy demonstrated how he fell down, and promptly broke the fore arm bone on the other hand!

@Nicole :: I am the younger sibling by three years yet I was typically given the blame for fights because I was the boy. I’ve got two boys now and they have had some pretty rough fights already so I can only imagine what it will be like once they are teenagers.
@HRS :: Ouch, although that is kind of a funny story as long as you aren’t the one with two broken arms!

I think that’s what siblings do, I know my sister and I gave each other hell for years when we were younger.

My sister did the ‘cycle kick’ too. Must be some sort of female instinct.
My brother had more sophisticated and damaging moves. It is all terrific memories.
